Damian McBride may have left Downing Street but his style of media handling lives on, it would seem.
Labour backbencher Paul Farrelly made a scathing attack on the Downing Street media operation this morning. He told the BBC’s Today programme that Numer 10 sources had briefed against him while he was out on the campaign trail:
‘I was furious… I was out travelling and campaigning, I called Downing Street twice but didn’t manage to speak to the Prime Minister and therefore they decided to sanction feeding my name to the media as the ringleader of a coup… It’s as it if Damian McBride and his emails never happened.’
