Douglas Carswell has just blogged about ‘lobbyists’ attitudes to politicians’. But the post perhaps reveals more about politicans’ attitudes towards lobbyists.
Carswell says: ‘Lobbyists, like senior civil servants and quangocrats, are notoriously fickle. Ever sensitive to which way the political breeze is blowing, they’ll sidle-up to whoever they think is going to win – all the while trying to maintain a look of “above-it-all” disinterest.’
Ouch! But who is this rather unflattering depiction based on?
