A big vacancy has arisen in CCHQ as the general election gets closer.
The Conservative Party is looking to recruit someone to join the Conservative Campaign Headquarters team, based in the House of Commons. They need someone ‘to cover the role of chief of staff to a leading high-profile shadow secretary of state’.
The ad states: ‘This position is to cover maternity leave and will be a short term contract from early October for up to six months.’
Steve Richards suggests today an April election is on the cards. If so, the shadow cabinet member in question should get their chief of staff back just in the nick of time…
