Lobbyists look ahead to Cameron’s Downing Street

It’s all the rage among lobbying consultancies to release a guide to Team Cameron.

Last year, we had Cameron’s Conservatives by Bell Pottinger Public Affairs and the Conservative Party Policy Guide from Weber Shandwick.

More recently, Cameron’s Britain was issued by Tim Allan’s New Labour Tory friendly outfit Portland. This one audaciously bucked the trend by having a picture of Number Ten on the front, rather than Dave’s visage.

Now, the lobbying shop Open Road is at it, having come up with Cameron’s Conservatives – The Ones To Watch.

This latest effort goes so far as to predict which special advisers Dave will take with him in to Downing Street. Alongside the usual suspects such as Steve Hilton and Ed Lllewellyn, are the lesser known senior CCHQ staffers such as Nick Timothy, Sean Worth, Sheridan Westlake, and George Osborne’s gatekeeper Poppy Mitchell-Rose.

All seem good bets for the sought-after special adviser roles that Dave will be handing out.

But Justine ‘learner driver’ Greening to be at the ‘backbone of the government’ in a couple of years? Surely not?
