Praise the Lord! McBride has a new job

Fraser Nelson has the scoop that my old pal Damian McBride is moving on from his post of ‘business liaison officer’ at Finchley Catholic High School.

He has now bagged a new job – head of media at the Catholic overseas aid charity CAFOD.

Days after McBride was forced to resign back in 2009, Hanover Communications MD and former Tory press chief Charles Lewington told me: ‘I fear his reputation is so badly damaged that only a long period building churches in Rwanda will restore it.’

I never expected Damian to take him literally…
